Audrey and the Giant Pinecone
He said: Audrey posing with one of the two monster pinecones we found on our failed hike in the Angeles forest in late April. Spiny, covered in frozen pitch, they just had to come with us. This is also the site of the first snow we've seen in CA.
She said: There really was more snow than that little speck. No, not that little speck....THAT little speck! (April '06)

BeastMaster
Chris is the one and only human being to prevent the inevitable onslaught when picking Max up. Jo and I were completely flabbergasted, but Chris (and Max) took it with crushing calm. (March '06)

Courtney with Camera
While taking a well-deserved vacation, Courtney stayed with us for two nights after visiting the San Diego Zoo. She honestly saw more of Long Beach in two days than Jo and I can accomplish in a week. Go Courtney. (February '06)

Andy on The Couch
Another in our recent series of fly-by-visits: here is a shot of &e during his 12 hour layover in LA on his way down under. Eurie, &e, Jo and I went to Alegria for appetizers and sangria. (January '06)

Deji, Jo and Geir at the babymaking beach
We paid tribute to Walden Pond on a Sunday morning at a secluded spot in Laguna Beach during Deji's visit. And then we paid tribute to...er...better than Kelly's. (March '06)

Short Mau Visit
Mau became the fourth person to visit us from Boston, and he holds the record as the person with the shortest visit. He had a six hour layover from a week of work (yeah right) in Vegas, so we picked him up at the airport, showed him our pad, and had an excellent seafood dinner at King's down the street. The Ceviche and Trout Almondine were superb. We then drove him back to the airport. We loved having him drop in on us, but he's not allowed back unless he brings Ana with him. (January '06)
Jo forgot to take pictures of Lauren and Erika when they came in January.
