About Jo & Geir
Geir is a principal information architect at netNumina (a Keane Company). He's helping to build a new architecture and design group at Keane's Irvine, CA office.
Jo is a public insight analyst at the Center for Innovation in Journalism at American Public Media, where the Public Insight Journalism team is creating a new intersection of citizen journalism and mainstream news. She works with American Public Media's national programs, including Marketplace, Weekend America, Speaking of Faith and American RadioWorks. Her focus is on sustainability coverage, and the entrepreneurship and Americas beats.
Geir's a sometime artist. He creates when he has time and /or flashes of inspiration. He maintains a sketch-a-day book, but lately it's been more like sketch-a-week. He's working on a project mapping the geography of the place he grew up, but going only by memory. Part cartography, part comic, part illustration, part non-fiction writing. His rarely updated online portfolio is called VisionBin.
Jo used to play trumpet. People called her a musician. She didn't feel comfortable with the name because she thought someday she'd give it up. But now, on the west coast without the comfort of many friends, maybe she'll pick it up again. So Jo went from playing music to making radio...it's all related to sound.
